Kia ora Whānau

I can not believe that it is week 11, what a term it has been! I hope, that although the term has gone extremely fast, that it has been an enjoyable one for you and your whānau. For me personally, this has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding terms I have ever had.

It seems like only yesterday that I was welcomed to the school yet so much has happened. Hopefully you got a chance to read our first whole school newsletter (click here to read), which highlights the many wonderful learning opportunities and experiences that have happened across the term. Thank you to all students, staff and whānau for what has been a fantastic first term.

I wish everyone all the best for an enjoyable, safe and relaxing break and I look forward to seeing you all back at school, recharged and ready to go on Monday the 2nd of May.

Ngā mihi nui

Wang Family Mucking In Project

Following right behind the amazing expression of community support and care for Tim and Eugenie Wang and family which was demonstrated at the Bothy Garden Party on Saturday (huge thanks to Jen Duncan and friends), we’re now ready to share with you plans for the Wang Family Mucking In Project. The family are up for it and have a goal to have the garden completed before overseas family visit soon.

It’s been simply stunning to see the support of so many individuals and businesses as they get right behind this project. We have the plans confirmed and preparatory work is underway. The vast majority of hard and soft landscaping materials have been donated – check out the amazing sponsors here.

All that remains is for us to confirm the practical details around who is available when to help piece it together.  So many of you have already signalled support in passing, but please follow the link to register your interest so that we can easily keep track of your offer to lend a hand. We will then keep you in the loop as this project continues to unfold. It’s a lot of fun, there will be food and drink to share and it’s a really practical way to stand alongside this lovely family.

If you follow the highlighted link below you will find the dates and a little detail around the various projects we will complete together.

If you have any comments, questions or if you are unable to access the ‘Google forms’ we have linked to this page, please contact Clare Palmer on tonyandclare@vodafone.co.nz or 0212295699.
