Research on how students learn and what teaching and learning practices have a positive effect on learning show that home learning will positively affect learning if the following happens:
- Schools redesign home learning so that it is interactive, integrated into the classroom curriculum and where the student receives feed back (BES Leadership 2009).
In 2013 the leadership team have considered home learning in their team to ensure that it does fit with current knowledge and understanding on what works for students.
